ペリメニ作りを楽しむ。Enjoy making Pelmeni

昨日は友人夫婦のお宅に招待され、みんなでペリメニを作りました。ペリメニは、肉を詰めたロシアの伝統的な水餃子で、日本の餃子作りに似た感じです。最近は午後3時過ぎには外が暗くなり始め、暖かい家の中で過ごす時間が増えてきました。そんな中、フィンランドだけでなく東欧でも、家族や友人と一緒に談笑しながらペリメニを作って食べるのがよく見られる光景だそうです。

Yesterday, we were invited to our friends’ house and made pelmeni together. Pelmeni are traditional Russian dumplings filled with meat, similar to making Japanese dumplings. After 3 p.m., it started to get dark outside, and with more time spent indoors in winter, it’s common not only in Finland but also in Eastern Europe to make and enjoy pelmeni with family and friends while chatting and having a good time.
