雪の道しるべ Guideposts in the Snow

冬の間、積もった雪で森の中の小道（トレイル）がすっぽり隠れてしまうことがあります。雪が溶けてグシャグシャになったり路面が凍結して滑ると歩きづらいのですが、雪が降ってすぐは子供達もはしゃぎながら楽しく通学できます。道のすぐ脇が小川だったり危険な箇所もあるのですが、そんな時に頼りになるのが足跡や幼い子供を乗せてひっぱるソリが通った跡です。まるでムーミンの世界のようです。

During the winter, the snow can accumulate so much that it completely covers the trails in the forest. The melting snow turns slushy, and the paths may become icy and slippery, making it difficult to walk. However, just after it snows, children can enjoy their walk to school, frolicking along. There are dangerous spots along the path, such as areas right next to a stream, but in such times, the tracks of sleds pulled with small children abroad and footprints become a reliable guide. It is almost like stepping into the world of Moomins.
