成長のしるし Signs of Growth

 今年も子供達と一緒にお雛様を出して飾りました。と、お雛様に見守られるように次女の乳歯がポロッと一本抜けました。長女と合わせると、最近は毎週のようにどちらかの乳歯が抜けています。前歯が生え揃った長女とは対照的に、前歯が揃って抜けた次女は食べるのも話すのも一苦労ですが、とても愛おしいひと時です。

This year, we set up and decorated the Japanese Hina dolls (Ohinasama) with the kids again. As if watched over by the Hina dolls, my second daughter's baby tooth fell out with a little pop. Between her and her elder sister, it seems like one of their baby teeth falls out almost every week recently. Unlike her sister, whose front teeth have all come in, my second daughter, now missing her front teeth, finds eating and speaking a bit of a challenge. However, it is a very precious time nonetheless.
